Helen Jones M.C.Pod, graduated from Plymouth University with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Podiatry. Helen is fully accredited and registered with Health & Care Professions Council (CH35425) and the Royal College of Podiatry Reg: 35835, meaning your feet are in safe hands. Helen brings with her, experience of working within Private Practice and the NHS. Helen’s has worked with patients from one to over one hundred, including those with systemic health conditions such as diabetes and dementia. Helen has previously worked within education and brings transferrable interpersonal skills to the role of a Podiatrist. Using an inclusive and nurturing approach to treat her patients whilst providing them with evidence based, patient-led high quality of health care. Helen has also been recognised and awarded a Leadership award from Tomorrow’s Podiatrists for the creation of Footwear for Re-wear project, a venture to provide used footwear to UK and European refugees.
Helen is also the local volunteer coordinator for Forgotten Feet, facilitating a much needed, free outreach Podiatry service for our homeless community alongside Plymouth Soup Run which runs from Shekinah.
Helen is also a Trustee for Dementia Friendly Parishes Around the Yealm and regional Secretary for the Royal College of Podiatry.
In Helen’s spare time, she likes to spend time with her family exploring the South West peninsula, no matter what the weather, with her husband, two son’s and dog call Bonnie. Bonnie is actively training to be a Therapy Dog where she will be utilised in specific clinical settings when required.
