Ear Wax Removal & Microsuction | The Ear Nurse
We are delighted to welcome Lauren and Kelly, the registered nurses behind The Ear Nurse, who provide professional ear assessments and ear wax removal services at South Devon Foot Clinic.
Combining extensive nursing experience across community healthcare, general practice and intensive care, Lauren and Kelly bring a wealth of clinical knowledge, compassion and a genuine commitment to helping people feel comfortable and confident about their ear health.
Lauren graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2015 with a First Class Honours degree in Adult Nursing. Her career has included working as both a district nurse and practice nurse, where she developed considerable experience in ear care and irrigation. Recognising the growing difficulties patients faced in accessing ear wax removal services, Lauren established The Ear Nurse in 2022 to provide a more accessible, personalised approach to ear care.
Kelly graduated from the University of the West of England in 2012 with First Class Honours and has worked in intensive care since 2013. Her extensive experience in caring for patients with complex healthcare needs brings valuable clinical expertise and a calm, reassuring manner to the team.
Together, Lauren and Kelly provide thorough ear assessments, professional advice and ear wax removal using microsuction or irrigation, depending on each patient’s individual needs and clinical suitability.
They understand how frustrating blocked ears, reduced hearing and troublesome ear wax can be, particularly when symptoms begin to affect everyday conversations, work and general quality of life.
Their approach is centred on taking time to listen, carefully assess each patient’s ear health and explain the available treatment options. Whether attending for a routine assessment or experiencing persistent ear wax problems, patients can expect a friendly, professional and supportive environment.
Above all, Lauren and Kelly are passionate about providing accessible, high-quality ear care and helping patients feel informed, reassured and comfortable throughout their appointments.
