Fungal nail infections, a condition known as Onychomycosis, is a common foot health problem and occur at any stage of life. The toenails can thicken, become yellow or flaky as a result of the infection, which can negatively effect your lifestyle and confidence.
Fungal nail infections (onychomycosis) can occur for many reasons. Indicative signs of this condition can be discolouration to the nail. Different stages of the condition may be determined by colour either white, yellow or brown. As a result of an infection, nails can become brittle, thicken and become crumbly. Nails can thicken as a result of an infection causing unnecessary discomfort and pressure on the underlying nail bed an edges of the nail. With increased fungal spore colonies, you also become at increased risk of skin infections.
